Both employers and employees are responsible for the safe use of metal removal fluids.
Employers are required to safeguard the health and safety of their employees by assessing the workplace for hazards, monitoring levels of MRF mist, training employees, and providing personal protective equipment (PPE). In addition, the employer should have in place medical monitoring to ensure employees’ health.

What are the employer’s responsibilities?

Each employer must furnish a workplace free of recognized hazards and must comply with health and safety standards. Effective health and safety management requires the following:
leadership
accountability
employee training
problem investigation
employee involvement

What are the responsibilities of the employees?
